With a bachelors in economics and an MBA how hard will it be for a texan to move to california or ny and work?
Q. I am an undergrad at the university of texas. I am getting my bachelors in economics and then i will get a MBA. Will it be easy for me to find a job in california or new york? What is the demand like for people with my degrees? I am fine with relocating, but I dont know how much people with those degrees are sought after

A. I cannot speak for California. But in New York, especially New York City, you qualifications are excellent. The financial stock and bond trading companies need you, the large corporate headquarters need you, Medical Centers need you, every department of city & state governments need you, the Board of Education need you, etc., etc. The list is endless. I have a hunch that California would also need you in the same ways. Congrats, Lots of Luck, and have a good 2009.

Any non-touristy Phoenix suggestions for a Texan to visit?
Q. I'll be there the last week of July for a girls-only week of relaxation. What's there to do? Other than the John Mayer concert-- which I'm already planning to attend. Any good, but not super expensive spas? Good local eateries? Cool spots to hang out? Yoga studios? Special Phoenix historical sites? Etc, etc, etc... THANX for the suggestions!!!

A. Ok so I say go west, everyone always says all the fun stuff is on the east side of phoenix. And as far as dance clubs and high end restaurants that s pretty true. There is so much in the valley though you could easily enjoy yourself near where your concert will be held. While I have not been to all these places I suggest. They have stood the test of time in the valley and hopefully the links will help. The West Gate is awesome it has the Yard House and Fox Grill there s also an open area where they play music on the weekends. Oh wait girl week they also have sweet O wine and chocolates. Which flag is flown more in Texas: The American flag or the Texan flag?
Q. I know the fierce pride that Texans have and I know some of them want succession. So, I thought it would be a logical question: US or Texas?

A. The US flag of course. Texans are very patriotic. The only place you might see more Texas flags is close to the Alamo. In the DFW you will find the American Flag everywhere and the Texas flag mainly on government buildings. Remember Texas has a ton of military veterans.
